How To Use Workflow Email Action AI
Proper setup ensures you get the most out of AI-powered email generation, allowing you to automate communications efficiently and maintain a consistent brand voice.
Step 1: Navigate to Workflows
- Log in to your HighLevel account.
- Click on Automation in the left-hand menu.
- Select Workflows.
- Choose one of the following:
- Click + Create Workflow button to start from scratch. (Refer to - Workflow Builder Walkthrough).
- Or, click on an existing workflow name to edit it.

Step 2: Add the Send Email Action
- Inside your workflow builder, add your trigger (e.g., form submission, payment received, etc.).
- Click the + button to add a new action.
- In the search bar, type Email/Send Email, or
- Scroll to the Communications section and select SendEmail.
Step 3: Configure Basic Email Settings
- In the Send Email action block:
- Name the action (e.g., Consultation Follow-Up)
- Enter the From Name and From Email
- Add CC or BCC if needed
- Enter Subject line or leave it empty.

Step 4: Launch AI Email Writer
- Click on the Write with AI button in the Message segment.
- Choose a Tone from the dropdown (e.g., Friendly, Professional, Casual).

- Desired outcome (e.g., booking, reply, purchase)
- Purpose of the email
- Click on Generate Email.
Step 5: Insert the Email
- AI will auto-fill:
- A suggested subject line
- A full email body
