What is Marketplace Earnings Dashboard?

The Marketplace Earnings Dashboard gives agencies a centralized view of Marketplace app performance inside HighLevel. It brings together financial reporting and adoption data so you can measure how apps are being used across sub-accounts, how much revenue they generate, what they cost, and how much profit they produce over time.

You can use this dashboard to monitor overall app performance, compare results across apps or sub-accounts, and review trends using date filters and analysis views. This helps agencies move from manual tracking to a more data-driven way of managing app value.

Filters and Time Period

Filters help you narrow the dashboard data so you can focus on the apps, sub-accounts, and timeframes that matter most. This makes the dashboard more useful for targeted reporting, trend analysis, and performance reviews.

Note: Chart visualizations and table results update based on the selected filters and time period.

The dashboard supports filtering by:

  • Time Period: Use the date selector and presets like last week, month(s), Q1-4 to review a specific reporting range.

  • Mode: Filter results based on the selected app mode (Free, Usage-based, One-time & Subscription).

  • App: Narrow the dashboard to one or more specific apps.

  • Sub-Account: Review data for one or more selected sub-accounts.

  • Search: Use the search field to locate a specific app or sub-accounts quickly in App/Sub-account Analysis.

  • Reset: Clear applied filters and return to the broader view.

Revenue, Cost, and Profit Chart

Trend reporting helps you understand how Marketplace performance changes over time. By reviewing revenue, cost, and profit together, you can spot spikes in activity, monitor margins, and evaluate how a selected date range impacts performance.

The Revenue, Cost and Profit chart displays performance over time based on your selected date range. The chart updates automatically when you change the time period and helps you compare all three financial metrics in a single view.

You can use this chart to:

  • monitor earnings trends over time

  • identify periods of higher app activity

  • compare revenue against cost to understand margin performance

  • review changes based on the selected reporting range

App Analysis

App Analysis helps you evaluate performance by individual app so you can identify which Marketplace apps are installed most often, which ones generate revenue, and which ones contribute to profit. This view is useful when reviewing app adoption and comparing financial results across your installed apps.

The App Analysis tab displays app-level performance details, including:

  • App Name

  • Total Install

  • Active Sub-Accounts

  • Churn Rate

  • Total Revenue

  • Total Cost

  • Profit

Use this view to compare apps side by side and understand which apps are driving the strongest business results.

Sub-Account Analysis

Sub-account-level reporting helps agencies understand which clients are generating the most value from Marketplace apps. This makes it easier to identify adoption patterns, support upsell opportunities, and evaluate app performance across your client base.

The Sub-Account Analysis tab allows you to review performance by sub-account. Use this view to analyze revenue contribution, cost, and profit at the client level for the selected date range and filters.

This is especially helpful for:

  • identifying high-value sub-accounts

  • reviewing Marketplace adoption by client

  • comparing app-related contribution across sub-accounts

  • supporting internal reporting and account reviews

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between revenue, cost, and profit in the Earnings dashboard?

Revenue is the total amount generated from Marketplace apps, cost is the total amount paid for those apps, and profit is the difference between revenue and cost for the selected period.

Q: Why do some apps show installs but no revenue?
An app can be installed and active without generating revenue in the selected date range. This may happen if the app is free, if no billable activity occurred, or if the selected timeframe does not include related charges.

Q: Why is profit zero for some apps?
Profit may be zero when revenue and cost are equal. Based on the current feature behavior, this can happen for agency apps where no margin is created.

Q: Why does revenue sometimes differ from cost?
Revenue can be greater than cost when a sub-account app is resold with markup enabled. This creates a margin that appears as profit in the dashboard.

Q: Do filters affect the chart and table data?
Yes. The dashboard updates charts and table results based on the filters and date range you apply.

Q: Does exported data include my selected filters?
Yes. Exported data respects the filters currently applied in the dashboard.

Q: What is the App Analysis view used for?
App Analysis helps you review performance by individual app, including installs, active sub-accounts, revenue, cost, and profit.

Q: What is the Sub-Account Analysis view used for?
Sub-Account Analysis helps you review Marketplace app contribution by client so you can understand which sub-accounts are generating the most value.
