What is a Countdown Timer?
A timer lets you add a countdown within your WhatsApp message templates — creating urgency and driving faster action from your customers.
You can attach a timer to a button in your message (e.g., “Claim Your Offer Now”) so users are directed to a page that shows the live timer and the page changes automatically when the timer expires.
Types of Timers
Fixed Timer
Ends at a specific date and time.
Ideal for one-time campaigns such as holiday sales or event promotions.
Recurring Timer
Automatically resets on a schedule (e.g., every Monday or month).
Great for weekly or monthly recurring offers.
Dynamic Timer
Starts individually for each contact when a specific action happens (e.g., WhatsApp message sent or delivered).
Best for personalized, time-limited offers like “Redeem within 12 hours of receiving this message.”
Use Cases
Limited-time offers — Create urgency with countdowns like “Offer ends in 12 hours.”
Personalized deals — Send each user their own timer based on when they receive the message.
Event reminders — Countdown to a webinar, appointment, or launch.
Flash sales — Highlight discounts that expire after a specific duration.

FAQs
1. Can I use more than one timer in a single WhatsApp message?
You can add up to two Countdown Timer buttons, combined with “Visit Website” or “Trackable Website.”
2. What happens when the timer expires?
Once expired, the user will be redirected to the expired offer page (based on your timer settings).
3. Can I edit a timer after creating it?
Yes — click Edit Timer to change duration, style, or triggers anytime.
4. Do dynamic timers show different countdowns per user?
Yes — each contact gets a unique countdown based on their trigger event (e.g., when the WhatsApp message was sent).
5. Why do I see “No link found” under Timer URL?
It means your timer doesn’t yet have a redirect link. Click Edit Timer and add a dynamic link or URL.
6. What are active and expired links?
The active link is the link of the page that has the offer page (The page with discounts, offers, free registration etc.) and the expired page is where you want the user to land when the offer expires.
Make sure your offer page also has the same timer so that it expires automatically with the timer and redirects to expiry page.
